After our 15 vintage took out the runner-up best pinot in Australia at the Royal Melbourne wine show, we reckon we’ve hit on something in the vineyard regarding picking dates & keeping the vines in balance to ensure clean even ripeness.
This vintage was one of our latest and is all about dark brooding plum & berry spices, ripe fruits on the nose, and a hint of lavender pulled together the subtle smokiness of the French oak cask in which its matured.
Soft silky with fine tannins, enough richness on the palate to keep all happy, this is a wine for the cellar, expect it to be shining in 3-5 years.
